About Joanne
Joanne Kazmierski, CTL, is the CEO and founder of Global Business Logistix, LLC. She is a highly skilled grant writer, project manager, and professional communicator.
Joanne has more than 20 years of experience in workforce and economic development in the port, transportation, logistics, and supply chain industry with the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT), the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), and Global Business Logistix.
She has served on grant writing teams that have been awarded more than $500 million for logistics and transportation projects in the United States. She has also authored state and federal grants totaling more than $100 million that impact the lives of 10,000+ children daily through afterschool programs, food programs, and other resources in northeast Florida. Grants she has contributed to fund 400+ jobs in the region.
Her passion for education and leadership development shines in her prior work as a project manager for various curriculum development programs for economics and international trade. She also spearheaded supply-chain logistics career pathways in the state of Florida to better serve students at high schools, colleges, universities, and technical education centers across the state. From 2008 to 2013, she chaired Florida’s BANNER Center for Global Logistics under CareerSource Florida.
Joanne is the president of IABC Florida, a chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. She also serves at the Vice President in charge of programming for the JAX Chamber Transportation & Logistics Council.
Joanne was nominated as the 2010 US Small Business Association Regional Minority Small Business Champion of the Year for Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina. She was also named the JAX Chamber’s Transportation & Logistics Council’s 2022 Small Business Leader of the Year.
Joanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of South Florida, Tampa. She and her husband, Dave, have been married for 32 years and have two children, Jessica, who recently received her international MBA at IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain and Justin, who resides in Raleigh, NC and works for On Location, the Leading Global Sports Travel & Event Management Company hosting events at the Super Bowl, NCAA, Ryder Cup, 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, etc.
